How To Freelance

So You Want To Be A Freelancer?

Or maybe you're not sure. You've heard that freelancing can be quite lucrative but you don't know if it's right for you. Well, in this brief article, I'm going to go over some of the advantages of freelancing as opposed to other ways to make money on the Internet. After reading this, hopefully you'll have a better idea of whether or not freelancing is something you want to go into.

There are essentially three ways to make money online...sell something, work a job or freelance. Selling is something that not many are cut out for. As a matter of fact, it takes a certain kind of person to make it as a sales person. Unless you've actually tried your hand at sales, you can't really understand what a unique thing Internet sales is.

Working a job, or telecommuting, is not something that's easy to get your hands on. Many job places like Monster and Dice are loaded with applicants looking for very few jobs. If you've ever tried to get a telecommuting job then you know just how hard this can be.

But freelancing is a totally different animal. All it requires is that you have some kind of marketable skill such as writing, programming, web design, graphic design and so on. If you have the skill, there are always people out there who are looking for that particular skill.

Okay, but what's the catch? Freelancing can't be that easy. Well, compared to trying to sell something or trying to get a telecommuting job, freelancing is very easy. Don't get me wrong, it's not a bed of roses. There are downsides, just like there are downsides to everything in life. But if you're looking to get away from your rat race 9 to 5, or don't have a job at all, freelancing is a viable alternative to working for the man without having to sell your soul in the process.

But don't take my word for it. In my signature you will find a free report titled "Why Do I Want To Be A Freelancer?" It covers everything you'll need to know about making the decision to go into freelancing or not. It goes over the pros and the cons. It is as objective as possible. If anything, after reading it, you might decide that freelancing is something that you never want to do. But at least read it and be informed.

Freelancing IS a viable option for making a living on the Internet.
